PLEASE HELP!!

When i click on minecraft a box comes up saying

"Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit."

I have tried turning my computer on and off.
Reinstalling Java.
Reinstalling minecraft.

Could someone help me please!!!

No idea, but I suggest contacting Mojang if this is happening, or looking for help on their site.

Delete your whole .Minecraft folder and download the minecraft launcher again. This will work. but u will lose everything in your minecraft folder. Example: You will lose Optifine and the settings for it screenshots etc. it doesnt take long to get it all back tho!

Check how much ram you have allocated to Minecraft:
Hit edit profile, and at the bottom
what are the JVM arguments?

Just as a warning to anyone else who has this, according to a lot of forums,
Sometimes it just happens randomly, and ofen can be resolved by reducing the ram or closing all other programes

yes this was due to trying to increase my RAM but i couldnt even open the launcher. You need to go Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables > In system variables change _JAVA_OPTIONS variable value to
-Xmx512M

That should fix it!!
