I have currently been thinking of a new rank for MCSG, the Pro rank. It would be an assistance Moderator rank. Here are some of the things the Pro would help with.
-Assisting Moderators when they are overflowed with ban disputes and hack reports.
-Helping
Moderators when they need to make decisions about ban disputes and hack reports
-When a
Moderator goes on vacation or becomes sick and can not access anything to get on to MCSG, the Pro can fill in.
Those are just some of the things the
Pro can help out with.
Here are the requirements to become a
Pro.
-You must have a bounty of over 5000 points (to make sure you are a MCSG pro)
-You must have had reported 3 or more people to a
Moderator, and have had them banned. (To make sure you know how to help a Moderator ban someone)
-Must have played over 450 games of MCSG so you know the community.(So you know how to help the community)
-Must have won over 200 games. (To make sure you didn't get your points from one GIANT bounty.

Here are the commands the Pro would have.
-They would be able to de-ghost other players.
-They can ban players, if a Moderator gives them permission to. And then they can only ban a certain amount of players in a certain amount of time.
-They would be able to TP to players in the lobby.
-They would have a lot of other commands the Moderators have, just degraded. ( I don't know what their commands are)
Here is what the
Pro would look like in lobby.
For instance

Chadthedj
Their names would be a light-ish orange-ish color.

Yeah, no disrespect but mcsg doesn't have time for this. If they were interested in ranks they would've been put the builder rank as stated in a thread about 1-3 months ago.

Why hire a pro when you could just hire another mod? Sounds like a waste of a rank to me.

We have over 200 moderators, so lack of staff wouldn't be an issue. I like the idea, but it probably won't happen.

Mods have to go through a process that can take over a month. Plus having the Pro rank would open up windows for kids who want to get involved, but are not ready for a Moderator rank. Also the mods do not have to listen to the Pro, they are just there for help In case they need help.

If a mod needs help they could just ask another mod :p

Moved to feature suggestions.

And hate to say it, but what I see here is just like a "no-no" suggestion, that being Junior mods. While this is an interesting idea, the Pros would still have to rely on getting help from real mods to decide on what to do for certain situations, when this time could be used to hire real moderators.

They could become a potential annoyance and distraction.

I also don't think wins, and especially points, should ever be a factor in any rank regarding rule breakers.

They do not have to rely on getting help from Mods. They can help mods if a mod is very stressed.

To be honest, I think a really stressed mod would seek help from a more experienced staff member.
Good point, I just thought it would be nice little rank for people who have been on the server for a long time and want to help out, but do not want to apply for mod.
