Make it like Tekkit Classic, but updated to 1.7.2

Tekkit classic cannot be updated as the Redpower mod does not have a developer and has not been updated since 1.4.7. Also the only option that I can guarantee will be updated to 1.7.2 within a reasonable time frame of about 2 months is FTB. I think a custom FTB mod pack is our best bet. Anyone else have any thoughts ?

MiCr2 can get us a customised version of redpower, called Power:red.
It works in 1.6.2

Yup, pretty nice mod. Almost the same as Redpower, just a few blocks missing, but gets updated regularly and it might eventually contain the missing blocks.

If it is the micro blocks you are after then the natural successor to RP2 is forge multipart, which is now used in many FTB packs. Also this mod powered, are you referring to the Redpower remake Project Red or a different mod?

MiCr Some other guy (not the creator) updated Redpower to 1.6.2, but couldn't call it Redpower cuz that's stealing the creators mod. Thus, a surprisingly similar but better updated mod was born, Power:Red. It has micro blocks.

Cool, but it is cool to make these contraptions out of vanilla redstone and I have learnt to live without RP2. Anyway, we should make a vote on what mod pack/ custom modpack we should use.
