IGN :Bluemincrafter i think that mcsg should add global chat and should accept 1.6.2 cilents and 1.7.2 cilents seeing alot of people still have 1.6.2 and 1.7.2 is buggy -bluemincrafter

You can't have a Minecraft server running both 1.6 and 1.7.

There would be no point in a global chat since the it would constantly be flooded with messages, the hub chat in each region is already constantly flooded as is.

Last thing, why are you putting "IGN-blueminecrafters" it's in your forum name, you also put it in the name of the thread, AND at the end of the thread. It's so unnecessary -.-'

How come The Hive accepts both clients, 1.6 and 1.7.2?

The reason why MCSG isn't on 1.7 is because they are waiting for certain plugins, etc. They wait so they are 100% sure it isn't buggy, without waiting bugs may appear and would involve the server being down to resolve the problem

There's a problem with this. The chat will be flooded. There's already a lot of players in one hub, talking away. So if we add 3 hubs all talking at once, the chat will go so fast you won't see what your friends saying.

If this is added, even with this flaw, there must be a way to turn global chat off.

Overcast Network allows both 1.6 and 1.7...

I think as long as a server is updated to 1.7, clients on version 1.6 will also be able to join. There are many servers that allow both versions on.

However, like was said above, MCSG won't be updating until they can update fully, which includes plugins and anything that could require an update, to reduce any 1.7 bugs/glitches to the bare minimum and lag to the lowest possible amount.
