Lightning in DeathMatch

I have been playing allot recently and found that the lightning in DeathMatch can make the DM quite restricting! the feature was added to stop people leaving spawn and it says please return to spawn when you get hit, but in some games I cant even go 5 blocks from the mid crafting table or mid chests without getting hit. I think it takes away from DeathMatch as I see the DM as a time for fair PVP not for getting hit by lightning multiple times then getting hit once by your opponent and dying. I'm not a coder nor do i know how this works but if someone could make it so the lightning ONLY HITS OUTSIDE the circle that the players spawn. just a suggestion, please let me know what you think.

The lightning caves in the longer the deathmatch goes for, to make it not force end.

Yes i am aware that it comes closer in but it comes way to close on some maps.

I was actually the one who created this idea..

It was added in v1, to stop people who continually ran so they cost the win and annoyed everyone. It's still pretty nifty though, it can be used quite effectively and still serves the purpose of stopping runners.

to be specific... i cant remember. i don't even know the names of half of them but that's not the point. the point is that lightning comes too far in
