I disagree with it doing damage. In my opinion the effect it has on your sight is enough of a disadvantage.

I think the idea is somewhat interesting, although it seems that all of the current motivation towards it right now is based off of the idea that we should try to be as similar to The Hunger Games as possible, which is definitely not the case. The Survival Games are without doubt based from the same basic principles as The Hunger Games, but we're not trying to make the two as alike as possible.

Gameplaywise i think the addition of such a mechanic isn't exactly necessary, but would be interesting to play with. I think though, that it isn't worth trying to implement at the moment, thinking of what (little, imo) potential use it has in the games.

Don't base your suggestions off the books/movie, get them from what would make for interesting and fun gameplay. If it falls into both categories, then it's just fine!

The idea of this is not to be exactly like hunger games. It's meant to be it's own little minecraft version. Like a parody.

ALTHOUGH, I do have to say that this idea is interesting.
