The in game polls were added so that the community could state their opinion and what they would like to see in future updates. But it looks as if every poll was ignored!
The pole about adding jump boost on moonbase9 to give the impression of lesser gravity won by thousands of votes. And when it was taken out of the polls, I assumed they were going to add it as a feature in the next update. But they didn't! I haven't seen the idea come up once since the poll was taken down.
The poll about adding the lobby as a playable map also won by thousands of votes. But the same thing that happened to the moonbase9 poll happened to this one. I thought that it would be added in a future update with other maps, But when they added TSG3 and updated the lobby, and it was never added to the map list.
The Fire VS. Ice poll was the first poll added to MCSG. Demons breeze had way more votes than freeze. But for some reason, the map that they decided to remove was Freeze! That is almost completely ignoring what the majority of the community wants!
Not everyone can make a forum account and post in the feature suggestions section. The polls were a great way for people with restrictions to state their opinion. now that the polls are gone, the community has almost no say in what happens in future updates. To me I think that that is incredibly unfair! the community is what keeps the servers running, So I think they should have more of a say in what gets added.
I understand that the staff have been really busy with the hub and adding more servers. But I think you should at least update us on what is going on! It isn't that hard to give us an update post every now and then.
There will never be a shortage of polls to add to get the opinion of the community. Sometimes simple questions could mean a lot. here are some polls I thought might be good to add:
Do you like the new lobby?
Do you think we should add more maps?
The are very simple questions, but it would tell you what the community wants, and that should be your first priority! To satisfy the community!
I really hope the polls get re added! I also hope we can see some change based on them in the future!
