Villagers

Okay guys, this is a cool idea I thought up. I hope it's original but if it isn't I'm sorry. So, my idea is (this only applies if villagers are allowed on maps) that there be a rare, hard to find villager on the map which has a few trades. The trades would help benefit you but they would be costly. A few example of some trades that I think would be good.

3 Diamonds = Nether Star x2
Nether Star = 2 Diamonds
Nether Star = Stick
Diamond Sword = Blaze Rod x2
Blaze Rod = Stick
Blaze Rod = Diamond (1 or 2)

Where I'm going with this would be that you could take items you've gathered from your foes and uncraft them so that you can make other things. For the Blaze Rod = Diamond deal it could be either 1 or 2, it depends on if you guys think there should be a cost to doing this, maybe when you uncraft you only get 1 ingot and no stick, it's just a rough outline. I also suggested that if you had more than what you needed to craft say, a sword, you could use that extra ingot/gem to "transmute" it into the item you need, i.e. the stick that you somehow don't have. I'm sort of just giving random suggestions but I think that maybe this would be a okay idea, with a bit of refining you guys could help me make this idea a reality (if you like it).

Anyway I hope to make a map soon and I might include this if you guys like it. Please leave some feedback, I literally came up with this idea 5 minutes ago on the toilet so it may be a horrible idea

I think thats a cool idea, but you're trades definatly need to be worked on. I would recommend trades like "five iron ingots for a diamond" or even just simple stuff "one stick for a flint". With that said, though, Trading with a villager to get supplies is a really cool, original idea that I would now like to see get implemented

Okay that idea is going to be worked on, how about a wooden sword plus an iron ingot gives you a stone sword and it's called something like "reinforced sword or something."
