Texture Pack Idea For Survival Games

Most of the players on these servers are aware that the survival games are based off of the book 'The Hunger Games', and I thought, since the games are already quite similar to the real hunger games, this would be a cool idea. Since in the hunger games, there were obviously more weapons than just swords and axes, that the people who ran the survival games could create their own server texture pack for players to use. It would change the look of some swords and axes, maybe making a wooden axe look like and knife or dagger, since it does the least damage, perhaps making a diamond sword look like a mace, or a stone sword like a spear, etc. I think that if they wanted to take it a step further, that they could even have the items renamed. If you like the idea, please respond in in the thread, I think it could add a little more fun and realism to the Survival Games.

Server texture pack support was removed in 1.6 with the addition of resource packs, and were replaced with .. absolutely nothing. Thanks Mojang!
Because of that, we can't really do anything that relates to server texture/resource packs.

I am not a fan of server texture/resource packs since I like my packs. And I don't want people to make a map and base the looks on a texture/resource pack that I may not want to use.

Like the idea, but it does have its downsides ^
Have you seen the WesterosCraft texture pack? It re-textures pretty much all the tools to look like epic weapons

I actually made a texture pack like this in 1.3! I did like it, just at times it was hard to remember what was what. I can't give it to you because I don't have the file anymore, also if I did find it, it would be outdated.

Well, if Mojang does re-add server texture packs, it would probably be like before, when it asks if you want to have the texture pack on or not, so if you didn't want it, then you could just not say yes, besides it would only work on these servers anyways.
