Mark the sponsorer.

I'm getting sponsored quite a good amount of times, but often I don't even know what I'm getting sponsored, my idea: Add a sponsor mark!
The item that got sponsored should have a discription below the name like Ender Pearl sponsored by Benjaminiscool1000.
So you would know what item you got sponsored, not like thanks...but I don't even know what you sponsored.

I'm pretty sure named items don't stack with unnamed items, so if someone sponsors you 5 arrows you can't stack those with other arrows.

No, I think it shouldn't be named, it should be described with the Sponsorer, or it should get marked like: Sponsored, or a enchantment like Sponsored. That'd be cool!

Couldn't agree with this more. I get sponsored now and then but I have no clue what it is, unless it is very distinctive, like a cake or pearl.

This is the exact reason that the marked items were removed and we put unmarked items in players inventories from there on.

This is such a good idea, because every now an then I get sponsored and I don't even know who to thank. And It would affect you at all because sponsored arrows cannot be stacked with normal arrows, so it wouldn't affect you at all, and it will help you. :3
