I think right now going to corn to get the chests in the start is way too easy and safe...
I think it should be a little more dangerous! What do you guys think?

I think part of what makes the cornucopia safer than it should be is the tendency for players to be unable to kill each other easily. A dipped cornucopia (as in, one that is of a lower elevation by a few blocks) might help to keep players from simply sprinting away on their days-decided-pre-planned routes and gameplans. What needs to happen is players need to be encouraged to fight immediately, instead of rushing away to develop a gear advantage.

I agree, maybe make them tier 3 but also make them harder to get to, or harder to get away from corn. Lets be serious, when you get the stone sword in the corn what usually happens is: You fighting the other person with stone sword (if someone else got it) or you killing some noobs standing around the chests and going for a random person going on his chestroute, or going your own chestroute and if you're really lucky you'll be able to catch someone with your sword at beggining and hit jackpot by getting full armor. Its just too easy to escape and its always worth it unless you don't know how to run...In the movie there would be a massacre , because we all know why its realistic one slash in the back or your face and boom you're dead. Here, you have to hit him 3 times and being carefull of not hitting him far or else he escapes and you're alone at corn with no profit.

Its not the actual cornucopia that is hard to reach. Its the people going for corn that makes it easier or harder.

People often these days when going for cornucopia they just get a chest and run and it seems like everyone does that now. I rumember back when cornucopia was hard to get into because everyone used to punch eachother whilst going to cornucopia so that they can secure a chest for themselves and that's what made it hard. Now people don't even think of doing this and just go for the chests.

The Cornucopia hasn't gotten easier, its the people who go for it.
