The idea MIGHT work. Here's how: If deathmatch is wanted early, you can type in /v dm.
After you vote, it will show how many players out of all players in-game have voted /v dm, AND it will give you the percentage. Once 75% of the players in-game vote /v dm, it will give you a one minute warning before Dmatch. Let me make this clear: 75% at one time. That way, If there are 24 players, 18 votes will be required to force dmatch. If there are 20, 15 will be required to force dmatch. If there are 16, then 12. If 12, then 9. If 8, then 6. If 4, then 3.

That way, a huge team can't start dmatch right away and unfairly. Just an idea I had to make this suggestion more fair. :D
Awesome idea!! :)

I think this would be too fast. I get the feeling the only reason you suggested this was so games would go faster. In my opinion, the games should actually last longer. They are like 10-20 minutes right now, unless you are on a bigger map. They used to be longer (for some unknown reason. I don't mean time limit-wise, I mean just how long it was until deathmatch-wise) and it could be more interesting in the end. I don't even understand why you would want the game to last 5 minutes, because that's just a waste of time to play it.

I like the idea, but i think 50% is about right. 75% is too much, and anything lower than 1/2 of a game is too OP. I myself, and most of my friends and clan members dislike long games. We usually leave when the maps are too large, (SG3, SG1, SG2, etc), and we would have a better incentive to stay and play the maps is DM could be triggered via voting. Especially now that Tiny render distance has been nerfered in MCSG i find it more imperative to implement a 4 Man death-match, or something else to get games over faster. Personally, whenever games go longer than corn re-fill I crouch in a corner, AFK, doing something else, until I see someone attacking me, or Death-match is triggered.

Please don't double post. You can reply to multiple people in one post. And a 5 minute game is a waste of time because you stayed in the lobby for 2 minutes, then the game is only a bit longer than that. I think that's a waste of time. Playing for 30 minutes is fun as long as you're not just running around the whole time. If it has enough action, a 30 minute game is fun. And no matter what, you can make it fun by doing some stuff. I've spent a whole 15 minutes on SG2 just doing random things like mowing the cornucopia lawn, or trying to get as much of a material as possible, making stuff with flowers and boating down the waterfall :)

Don't double post. The Edit button has a reason. -.-
You do realize that by pointing out my mistake you have created more spam, and by me replying to you I have therefore cluttered the thread up more?

Well, first of all i don't wait 2 minutes in a lobby, I usually join a lobby with 30 seconds or less, I don't have a lot of time to play everyday, so i like to make good use of my time. Second, messing around for 15 minutes or so waiting for people is not my idea of "Fun", I find PVP fun. I find hard fights packed with action "fun" If I was with people on TS, then sure I could pass a few minutes, but I mostly play MCSG for its action. Thats why I've never had a single player world, ever, not even a creative or survival one. I just find the concept of just waiting, or collecting boring, and thats just my personal opinion.

I am stopping double posts in the future creating LESS Spam. I don't understand why you always have to try to think of something smart, you know everyone is wrong once in a while. Not everyone is as perfect as you.

Just drop the subject. I fixed my mistake, you got your wish, and I just proceeded to make more spam by replying your reply to my reply of your initial reply to my accidental double posting. If you want to further discuss things Inbox me.

That's fair enough. But a 5 minute game wouldn't be pure PvP. It would be you getting some chests, and then deathmatch starting. You would kill a couple people, then run around for like a minute to regenerate your health while the rest of the people chase you. That could be fun, but it's still hard and I don't like running away from people, especially in the limited size deathmatch arena.
