I like the current point system over this. Currently, you gain 5% of the points of the person you killed. With this system, you could get lots of points for killing a noob. Now, you get more points for killing better players.
My thoughts exactly.

Don't even know if that's possible. But if it is, I disagree with this idea as it does make sense what you're saying but the current system is fine the way it is as killing people with higher bounties (Tend to be better players) will get you more points and by killing people with less points (typically the newer player) will get you little amounts of points. I really don't see a flaw in the current system so I vote to keep it but hey that's just my opinion :p

That would be cool, but as has already been said, that would be really difficult to code.

It is nearly impossible to code the armour sword item and it would bring back kill lag.
P.s I have tried it in setbling 's UHC world and It is impossible in normal or even with plugins

even if this was managed to be coded and you got around everything (which it wont)

A new person (100 points) gets full iron armor
Pro (1000 points) kills new person

with your system:
New person would lose 70 points and be left at 30 points all together
Pro would gain 70 points and raise his total to 1070

Doesn't seem fair.

I currently think the point awarding system is not unfair, but weird. Currently when you kill someone with, lets say they have 1,000 points and you have 200, you will be rewarded with maybe 70 points, even though they might have just a wooden sword, and you have full iron (iron wins) you will receive 70 points. HOWEVER if the wooden sword guy with 1,000 points kills you, he will recieve maybe 10 points, which isn't fair because you worked really hard to kill a guy with full iron and you still only got 5-10 points.

So I think a new point system should be implemented, where the points you receive are from the armor, not from there current bounty. FOR EXAMPLE: You have full leather and stone sword.
He has full iron and iron sword. You manage to kill him. You will receive 30 points. If the other way around and HE kills you. he would receive 10 points. Get what i'm saying?

So thats just a suggestion, let me know if you think that would be bad or REALLY good!

The current system sort of says that the guy with 1000 points is more likely to have better gear than you or just be better at pvp. Which is statistically true unless you sponsor away your points like many people do. The points system works just fine how it is.
