Quick Commands

This addition would mostly affect teams either made before the game starts or even during a game. I don't think it would be very difficult to add at all and I believe it can be a subtle addition that can only be positive to the game.

So the idea is that there are no real commands you can make quickly without typing them out in game and while you may argue this is an easy thing to do, it can be difficult trying to type "come back" as the guy you teamed with hops away full speed. Also if you start being chased it would be much easier to hit 2 keys then type the world help. It also leaves you very vulnerable. I think the addition of some quick commands like used in other games would be useful. The way they would work is through using /x with x being the number assigned to the command. I thought of a good start to this list with each number corresponding to the command:

/1: "Yes"

/2: "No"

/3: "Fight"

/4: "Run"

/5: "Help"

/6: "Team"

/7: "Food"

/8: "Weapon"

/9: "Armor"

and /0: would list all of the commands and their corresponding numbers in case you forget

While this addition would in no means be earth-shattering I believe it is a fairly simple addition and can think of nothing but positives from it. As you and I both know, every second counts in survival games and this could save a few!

I do agree with this, although I think there could be more room for fluctuation. Perhaps the ability to set preset messages? So you could type /set 1 Let's team?, and then from there on out (of course, unless you change it) when you type /1 it says Let's team?. Just furthering on the concept, although I do like what you're getting at.

teaming is going to be part of the game same as betraying is going to be part of the game. Where is the negative side of this addition?

I mean they could be able to be customized but I really just meant like most other games a quick command system. I realize this isn't a big deal for solo players but if it helps some and hurts none I can't see why it's a bad idea

Typing should be a risk, imo.

My hotkeys would probably be me just defending myself from people calling me hackers. :|

So it should be harder for people to communicate to make the game "better"? That just doesn't make logical sense to me

Yes, in a way actually. But it depends on your definition of "better".

Harder to communicate? The game is easy enough as it is now.

I do understand that some think it's a risk that is part of the game, but eh... I don't really see it as a necessary risk.

If you really want hoykeys download the macro mod, I'm pretty sure it's all legal as long as it's not used for sprint purposes.
