Rp server

One of my favorite things about the hunger games trilogy is the physiological stand point of it all. I feel like in survival games we are laking that depth of emotion, so my suggestion is to have one or two servers marked off for rp. You wouldn't need to implement any plugins or anything, you would just have to let people know when they logged in that it was an rp server. Then people could get on and act like they are really in the hunger games. You could also have a default skin, that is the black suit people wear, and allow them to modify it to have there face or what not so it seems as though everyone has the same suit like in the hunger games. Servers cost a lot of money. Making a couple servers for RP would be pretty boring in my point of view, so I don't think it's worth it. If you want you can get the Hunger Games mod which has you as a tribute then all the other tributes from the Hunger Games movie.

this is actually a very interesting idea... i love RP servers and it would fun to pretend that you are either a character from the books/movie or are actually in there as yourself. the issue would be communicating in an RP fashion, since i really don't like having to stop and type into chat when there are people out for my blood... ^_^

but they are loosely based on them and many people treat them as represntation of the Hunger Games within Minecraft. is there anything wrong with wanting to get together with people from this commmunity, who already show a love for playing these games, and pretending that these Games were real? we're not asking for anything to change, just a small little deail that would increase your immersion into this genre...

The maps would also have to change completely for an RP. So you are role playing as Katniss, you have to actually do what Katniss does, get those kills. And those people have to die, and people could easily just change the story line. Also there are no chests around the map, there is only the cornucopia for getting items and random things around the arena you can collect for your own use.
In my opinion, this wouldn't work very well.

its a role-play, not a re-creation of the story. you act as though everything was real, not copying the actions of the books, if you did that you wouldn't be RPing you just be playing the game of the movie... it would be as flexible as a game of DnD

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. I thought someone said that it would be the same as in the book, and maybe I took that too literally.
This seems like a fun idea though, and I would love to try it out, but it's not at the top of the list.
