Minecraft PvP Games

Always being the fanatic of "fair pvp" and "who is better than who at pvp", i thought about this idea myself, but one problem came... I lacked the knowledge of how to take this into effect. So i thought of this, mainly because I was tired of people saying things like "Hiqhlights is the best person at pvp! He has SOOOOO many wins." Im not saying that Hiqhlights sucks at pvp (i've lost to him before), im just saying wins doesn't mean skill. So maybe you guys can give your comments on whether this would be possible. So i will give you all an example; let's pretend we have a server with a big (not too big) map, but there isn't any chests. Everyone starts with full iron armor, iron sword, a bow, two stacks of 64 arrows, and 64 steak. You get 30 seconds of running/hiding. Then grace period ends, may the best man win. Now i know this wont really show whos the best because someone could just kill someone else and another guy kills him when he is low on hearts. So just reply and think how YOU would like this to be, if you would even want this.

That would be a good idea, I feel that Im good at PvP but in MCSG it seems that Im always killed by hackers or just egt unlucky. This controlled environment would be great.

MCSG is Minecraft PVP games at the moment, and it has been in some months.
Why?
It is because MCSG is Player vs Player only, when it before was PVE, or Player vs Everything.
And PVE equals survival.

-Make it a diamond sword.
-Remove hunger deteriorating to remove the need for food.
-Enchant the bow with infinity.
-Splash healing pots maybe.

Well it isnt always fair, you could be amazing at pvp, and have a horrible chest route. You could suck at pvp, and get lucky with a tier 2 chest.

If you want a unoriginal "PVP games" with none chestroute, there is plenty out on the internett

I'd like you to point me towards 5 good ones which specify what he is looking for.

Now, I think this is a very good idea, but not a priority of MCSG right now. I do feel like a PvP games would be excellent in the future, and I would enjoy that a lot, but I feel like right now they don't have the need for a new PvP server installment.

I would just like to state that in about a year of playing, I have only come across a hacker once. Where's the skill from building your way up this way? That was the whole point of the hunger games: to survive by building yourself from the ground up. Before, winning was a combination of good PvP, and having looked for better armour. Also, everything else can't damage you as much, damaging the threat from the arena. Also, 64 steak? You do realise that this whole game came from something called 'The Hunger Games'?

PVP arenas with only one class?
