Not as long as you might think - I went over this "post" of mine much more thoroughly and narrowed it down quite a bit. I had nothing much to say about myself or how I'd handle a situation, either, as there isn't much room to discuss that too far...it honestly wasn't all that much better than what I imagine is the average accepted app, if "better" at all.

I hear a lot of praise for Tironas11's application, though. Apparently his application was incredible.

There was a reason why Tironas was accepted at age 13. And why Neil became admin in an incredibly short amount of time (possessing the only app rivaling Tironas').

I honestly think, they should accept people on an based on the interview and the written app. Or maybe they should have 'Junior Mods' which basically means, younger mods, that are active on servers and have to record people hacking/spamming/rule breaking, but don't report them, just kick/ban them on the spot. Each ban by Junior Mods has to be reviewed by Sr.Staff (the proof must be shown). If the Junior Mods don't get proof, the banned person gets unbanned. So if they really want to help the servers (like a true mod) they would get the proof, because they TRULY do want to help the servers.

With the 'Junior Mod' idea, it would basically be a trial. First the app has to be professional and mature. If it is, they have an interview, if they sound mature (not as in pitch of voice) but with how they speak and what they would do in certain situation they'd then get 'Junior Mod' and after a certain period of time, they get moderator. I also think people under 15 shouldn't get Sr.Mod and/or above, but at least Mod and people under 10 DEFINITELY should not be allowed any position of staff.

But then the proper staff would have more work. Damn it. And I'm also going to get lots of people giving me reasons why this wouldn't work. Oh well, worth a shot.

I just want to help the servers in some way, because there's so many hackers getting reported, but it takes the staff ages to review them all, so the longer the hackers can hang around. I'd donate, but
1. I have no money.
2. My parents won't buy it for me.
3. They don't help with getting rid of hackers/spammers/etc., it helps pay for the servers.

But I think they should interview you and do things on your app alone. I've met some really immature people who are 16, 17, and even 18. I really don't like the age restrictions at all. BTW, my 100th post

Alright well it is not going to happen. The age limit is staying to the best of my knowledge. I understand how bad you want to be mods, because i want to be one too, but the rules are there for a reason.

Regarding the age...
I know this has said 1000 times before, and it IS a very controversial topic, but we do have reasons for not accepting mods under the age of 15. (it used to be 17 by the way, so be glad it's gone down) Sometimes, in the past, we have hired mods who have been under the age limit and they have literally caused more problems than they solved, quite simply by being too immature.

I also agree with the statement that some 16, 17 and 18 year olds are immature. That's why we go through the extensive application and then interview process, we try to find the most mature and responsible people of the lot. But remember it's not just who's the most mature who gets the job, we do pick people for other skills and qualities as well.

So if you are under 15, and your app has been denied straight away, don't be disheartened. Very few apps have been accepted from that group (about 5 in total), and it does not necessarily mean your app was not good enough. Just wait until you are old enough to apply, which would also show your dedication to the servers and MCSG.

I know it is a bit harsh considering the age of the majority of the player base, but we are not going to change the age for applications. If we decrease the age by a year, there will always be a party who is just missing out, and will feel it is unfair that they aren't old enough.

Okay I don't really think MCSG will be around in 3 years, so I doubt I'll ever really be a mod :/ But I didn't expect to be accepted ( I haven't been declined yet, but I know I will be )
