A way to to stop constant spam

I think they should implement a /ignore button. I hate seeing all the GO UNDER THE BRIDGE FOR TEAM or SAY 666 (yes someone did post that ) FOR TEAM. it would also help minimize all the fighting and bullying there happens to be. whenever i see a fight or a spammer, i tell them to stop and they decide to pick a fight with me. If there was a /ignore button this would stop many problems and also help stop the random lobby teams and hurtful words players can say. What do you think?

For chat spamming, isnt there already a mute command? It's either /mute or /chat off.Or just go in your options and turn the chat of there.

Yes there is already. But what the OP means is a mute for a specific person.

I was told that you can do /mute (playername) to mute that person.

i tried /mute anmnd /chatoff none of that works. i also tried the actual minecraft multiplayer settings, nothing works

I like this idea a lot; it would help stop the annoying people yell HEY, WANNA TEAM??????
