Achievement

Hey guys, I saw Chads post about the new achievements that might be upcoming in the future and i had an idea for them. I was thinking that your achievement points you got were your bounty. What i mean is that the points you get from the achievement doesn't add to your bounty you have from you points from killing, it is the only way to get points. I think this will be good because it will be more of a accurate display of your skill. Because how it is right now you can just kill one person will alot of points and get a good bounty. This will also help with those annoying people that punch people to death for there points because you wont get a reward for your kills other than making it close to the end of the game. Please vote on what you think and give me your opinion in the comments.

The achievements so far being brainstormed seem a bit random and fun, not really something that would justify replacing the whole bounty system. So I vote no, I think the current bounty system is unnecessary, and would make it inaccurate.

Well, if there will be achievments like "Jump from the highest building on SG2" this will not work since some of the best players won't do that, if there is achievments like "Kill 10 people in one game" this will work since the best players can do that since others can't. I like the idea though

I don't know how it would make it inaccurate if it was replacing it. But I just think it would be a more accurate display of someones skill and make it more of a goal to get achievements.

Yea I guess it does depend on the type of achievements that will be added. But i still think that even if you had to jump some pros would go straight there and jump just to boost there bounty and still not waste much time on getting the achievement.

Maybe we should replace the points system completely. Instead replacing it with achievement points only as then it really shows skill in a player where, as just having a number next to your name doesn't seem to affect me or who I team up with.
This would be good as you could do something like /achievements ZenoCrafter and it would list all the achievements this person has achieved. It could also add a new column on the leader boards again giving this a whole new purpose as you could have people that like to obtain victories or people that like to get achievements.
