Questions before building a map...

Hi guys,
I have recently thought about building a map for submission to the mcsg servers, and I was hoping to have some advice from people with experience. As I have never attempted to build a map or tried to submit one I don't know how to go about submitting a map to the servers, so I was hoping I could get this kind of information from previous map creators/people with knowledge on the subject. I am also looking for general information about map building. One thing is I have heard you submit the map with Tier 2's as ender chests and I would be grateful if this could be confirmed or denied. Other small tips/crucial information would be greatly appreciated.

And yes, enderchests mark tier 2's, normal chests mark tier 1's

My tip is to browse through the threads i linked and other ones under the 'map downloads and discussions' forum section (http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/forums/map-downloads-and-discussions.10/) for any ideas and information!
