Less Lag and Increased Performance

I got an Idea. you know how there are several levels of stone that are not used on both maps? why not delete those extra blocks? if we do that then the performance on all the computers playing will increase.

I don't know how the physics of miinecraft work, but this seems like a good idea :/

Each block is rendered individually so the more blocks there are the more processing power your computer will need.

Sounds like a good idea, also notice when you play a map like skyblock it runs smooth as anything :)

Good idea! I usually get laggspikes in the worst situations, this would probably help it.

Here is the deal about minecraft... Even if a block is there or not it is still calculated. AKA a missing block = AIR so no matter if you delete them all minecraft still has to keep track of them. Best thing to do is use optifine.

Didn't Jeb remove air blocks in the new anvil format to prevent lagg? And why does maps like skyblock run so good compared to a normal minecraft world?

All i know is that when i play on a superflat map my computer runs a thousand times better :p
