So I was once killed by a hacker, and I accidentally left the game while opening Fraps!
Luckily, I was able to find his name in the .minecraft logs.

But that required me to close Minecraft.

By the time I got his name, I had to find him in a server.
But that's impossible! When I checked the leaderboards, it didn't update in time.

That leads me to this idea.

/watch sg [player name]

This command would find the game that any player was in, and immediately connect the player to spectate that server and player. However, it would not work for disguised players (e.g. people couldn't spam /watch sg Huahwi if he was in /d)

Pros:
-would allow non-mod players to ask if any player was hacking and be able to find them
-mods can already do this, why not players who want to report if someone is complaining?
-would cause more hackers to be found

Cons:
-people could spectate popular players without a rank (e.g. "Let's go watch ElectrixMC and call him a nub when he dies!")
-may cause more false reports (then again, the good reports will be more frequent too)

Thanks for reading! Give feedback.

There is a reason that this has not been implemented to regular players, and most likely will not be implemented and that is that regular players can use this to track YouTubers in their servers, a problem we already have with moderators with this command.

Umm... I already thought of this and came up with a solution.
However, it would not work for disguised players (e.g. people couldn't spam /watch sg Huahwi if he was in /d)
Is this not possible? Or is there another glitch to find disguised players?

Woops, didn't see that. But what if he wasn't in /d?
If a YouTuber isn't in /d, they obviously don't care if people see them or not. Nothing bad would happen to them, except for maybe a bounty. But it's not like people are commonly going to /watch undisguised youtubers they hate and bounty them all their points.

I guess that's a good point. Well thought out. :)

Meh, I'm sure there's a reason only moderators have the command. Sure, sounds useful, but is it really needed?

Personally, I'd enjoy the command /cc more. Before, /cc would tell you the number of tier 1s and number of tier 2s.

Don't think it would be a good idea to give people this command/power. It would be kind of cool to do this when you're spectating after you die though. Although you could just keep clicking to find the player that killed you, it might be cool to just quickly TP to them with a command.
