Need help, Cant join server

when i try to join the server it says its down and mcgamer is my all time favorite server. did the ip change? or did the version change? please help

Hello there!

There have been numerous reports of this happening recently, but it seems as though it is a Mojang problem. If you are still unable to join as of now, I would wait and try again later. This problem should be resolved soon, if not already.

The main problem seems to always be mojang (or Microsoft?)
However if the session servers are down, it will tell you. In order for us to fix your issue you will need to tell us some details,
What does it say when you try log in?
What time was it?
Is there any maintenance in your area. Surprisingly this happens a lot to people. Roadworks and other architectural modifications can really muck up your connection to some servers. Well it depends if where they are working.

To my knowledge, Microsoft owns Minecraft (including Scrolls & Cobalt) but Mojang still develops them.
