Minecraft 1.8 Assistance

So today I decided to try to use Minecraft 1.8.

Everything was fine until I noticed my items. They're extremely weird.
1.8:

Well they wanted to completely destroy the resource pack system, so now to play 1.8 with rp, you need to have a 1.8 compatible resource pack.

I have no idea, but you can most likely find tutorials or someone who knows how to do it.

No.. not really.

there is now a alpha cap or whatever where the game will not render any colour below the set value i believe this was implemented to stop xray resorce packs and for the game to have less colours to work with giving a small fps boost

I've heard that there is a PvP bug in 1.8, I don't know if it's true but ...
