Ping Higher Than Usual??

Recently the US server connectivity for me is making my ping higher than usual but my ping to other servers such as au and random servers stay the same, what is the problem with the us quote on quote lag or its making my ping higher than usual??

U.S. and CA do seem to be driving people's pings into the thousands for whatever reason. The most likely explanation is something funky with server traffic or a change in the way our ISPs are pathing to the datacenter and vice versa.
