Help! Everytime I 'attack' left mouse, I teleport

Just signed up and started playing, but every time I use left tap, I teleport. I'm absolutely puzzled. Help, please? I'm playing on a Mac with a magic trackpad, FWIW....

When you die, you become a spectator. By punching, you can cycle through the players remaining in the game. This also works by right-clicking a block, or manually typing /spec [name of in-game player]

To actually play the game as opposed to just spectating it, you need to join a server that's in lobby (by right clicking on one of the signs in the hub) and wait for the game to start. Once it starts, then you'll be able to play normally, attack, loot chests, and all of that good stuff.
