I agree with you but certain people who admit to hacking are actual hackers.. and the staff members would not know who is actually jokingly saying it or someone who actually means it.. If you don't hack, you shouldn't say you hack.

So I think it's reasonable.. but that is only my opinion.

Well i sid that most hacker wouldn't :D
My point is that people who admit or say they have hacks in chat, should only be given a 3 day ban if they say or if they admit to hacking and actually shows that they hack shall be banned permanently.

I totally agree with your opinion but people want to be smart and show of half the time for example /aimbot on, this is a classic one which I see many people use daily.

All I am going to say is whether or not you believe this rule to be reasonable you agreed to the terms of this networks rules when you play on the server. If you sign a contract without reading it and get screwed over by the law because you broke the terms of your contract whose fault is it? The same is here where if you don't read the rules and follow them you are dealt with by the staff team accordingly.

The rules clearly say that admitting to hacks is punishable, even jokingly. If it's says in the rules, simple don't put yourself in that situation because rules are rules. The staff needs to take precaution because you never know if the person is joking or not. The punishment is a little harsh but if you know it's against the rules simply don't do it. I personality think admitting to hacks is completely stupid even if you're joking, this rule shouldn't be removed.

Why is everyone saying that it is in the rules when this thread is clearly trying to get a rule change?

"Hey guys, I think this rule is unreasonable and should be changed"
"No, it is in the rules"

Like wtf is that logic

Lol i brought this up a couple of times actually back when I was a moderator, but as you can see, I got nowhere. It's very difficult to get the mods to change a rule really, especially if it's in a way like this. Who knows tho, maybe huahwi himself will get the attention of some staff :p.

The staff take into consideration what people say all the time but overall rules are rules for a reason. If the public don't read and follow the rules it is their own fault and if you are stupid enough to say you hack in chat it's your own fault.

MCGamerzism actually staff take all posts seriously and this post brings up some points for debate which so long as there is no hate or flame people can discuss. I said why it won't change from being a rule however I never said the ban length wouldn't change (although I don't deal with that.) If people want to discuss this topic in a civil manner then they may.
