Do you have any modifications loaded? If you do, delete your .minecraft and reinstall it. Also, try updating Java if an update is needed. Is anything else running Java on your PC as well?

Nope, and it seems to only happen on mcsg, although that is mainly the server I play on. I don't know if I have the latest java update, and I do have Optifine installed, if that is what you mean.

Unless you could have too many files downloaded, try deleting some you don't need and try again. :)

Are you running any resource packs? If so, why don't you try and select the Default and try logging on the server. This bug has happened to me before and that usually solved it.

You should try uninstalling java and then re-installing it again.
https://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

If you have a 64 bit computer (to check if you have a 32 bit or a 64 bit, go to your Start menu, right click on Computer, click Properties, and next to System type, it should either say 64 bit or 32 bit), download this Java as well (the one that says Windows Offline 64-bit)
https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Let me know if you still have problems.

What version of MC do you play on?

This happened to me for quite a while. Every time I crashed I would just restart my computer and after a while, my Minecraft stopped crashing. Maybe try this.

1.9 :D
EDIT: LOL 1.7.9
Well, try using a different version and see if that helps. Download CCleaner, and you should clean your registry, and if you haven't already try upgrading Java is you haven't. Try allocating ram as well. Also, have you re-installed MC yet?

I am not getting notifications for Java updates, and I have not really tried to fix it, since it has been pretty recent, but really obnoxious. Also, I checked the error thing that Moo told me to go to, it said liek Java error crash 1337 or something. I'm not really sure, so I guess I will try re-installing Java tonight.
