Hello mcsg community,
I need help with the editing software GIMP. With this program I edit my Texturepack, for example changing colors etc. ...
That works fine if I select the parts I want to change, click on the buttons Colors; dye.
But sometimes I have problems with that. When I press dye nothing happens.
This happens for example when I try to edit the fire color (fire_layer_0/ fire_layer_1).

Can you help me to fix that or tell me another way to change the fire of my texturepack? :)

Thank you for all answers!! :)

ps: I hope that is the right section :)

EDIT: Solution down below! :)

Hello, RandomHD!
I would suggest re-installing GIMP. If the problem still occurs, please pm me.

Have a nice day!

Okay, thank you jc! :)

Ok, I'll use the Photoshop trial... But if someone knows what I'm doing wrong/how to change the color in generell, using GIMP I would still be happy ;)

Have a nice day, all!

I found the solution for my problem!! So happy now :D

>> You can only dye the picture when it's in RGB mode.
>> To change the Mode go to Image ; Mode ; RGB.

Then you can change the colors like I have described in the first post.
