Avatar picture wont update on forums

so i have tried numerous times to chnge my avatar, i have tried using both ways and the pop up always says "succesfuly updated" or something similar but it never changes>? and ideas on a fix

Have you tried using Gravatar? It is the only way you can change your profile picture at the moment since the system is a bit bugged.
