Problem with my monitor display.

Hello MCSG,

I am having trouble with my monitor right now in Fullscreen mode especially. I get these horizontal kind of lag lines when I move my head around, almost like part of the screen refreshed slower than the other. They generally occur about a 1/3 of the way up my screen. I am unsure if this is to do with settings or a technical problem? I have tried messing about with settings in Minecraft (Optifine). My display is 1920x1080 I beleive, I have this option set under Video Settings>Other>Fullscreen Mode. Anyone else had a similar problem and/or know how to fix it?

Can you post a picture of your screen showing these lines while you're in fullscreen?

Have you got anti-aliasing on or something?

I believe VSync is there because of this issue. Try using it (You might have to install Optifine)

Try re-downloading Minecraft. Your problem could just be something weird in the download, so just try again. Also, I think you should supply us with a picture so we can see what it looks like, and we might be able to help more.

Can I know the specs of your computer? Especially the video card ( The exact model of the video card )

OK the bit blurry part could be that your monitor isn't displaying the image at it's natural screen resolution. You may still be zoomed in a bit and just don't know it yet. I have an AMD video card and have a monitor. To get the screen to the right resolution I have to get into the video driver with Catalyst Control Center and open up the flat screen part of the driver, I then have to adjust the overscan slider to zero,
Try plugging your computer into the tv and do this:
grab the TV remote and adjust the aspect ratio until the screen is actually displaying the full 1920 X 1080 image it's capable of displaying. If I didn't adjust the aspect ratio with the remote I wouldn't be able to see the Start button or the task bar on my screen. If I didn't adjust the overscan slider I'd have black bars around the entire border of my screen.

Try to do a fresh install of the drivers after a registry sweep

My processor (CPU) is an Intel i5-2320 Sandy Bridge @3.00Ghz, and my graphics card (GPU) Is an NVidia GT 530

I don't think Aspect ratio is the problem. My monitor's "native" display is 1920x1080 and this is what it is set to in the NVidia control panel.

I can't, the lines are so subtle and only appear for a split second until they disappear again. It might just be me being fussy here I have made them worse than they seem, its just bugging when I'm playing. However they are a lot more noticeable when I record using Fraps, which reduces and locks my frame-rate at about 60fps I think. However, these lines do not show up in the recorded footage so there is no way I can show them here.

I don't think so. In my NVidia control panel all the settings are on default which for Anti-aliasing is "Global-application controlled" However Anti-aliasing Gamma correction is the only one set to "On".

I have Optifine for 1.7.4 but for some reason It doesn't have VSync? The problem with VSync is that it reduces the Fps down to the Refresh rate of my monitor, and my Fps fluctuates a fair bit so I may encounter more Fps lag.

Make sure to check you monitor settings using the menu button, normally found on the side or front.
