Hello, as far as I know, the CA servers are located in Montreal, Quebec. This is almost another type of US server for people who live in Canada. I know many people who live in CA but get the same ping to the US. I know that a lot of people live in places such as British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, ( Not sure about Saskatchewan and Ontario)

As you can see, Quebec is REALLY far East compared to most CA players in the West-ish part of Canada. I personally think the server should be moved in British Columbia or Alberta, therefore more people will play on the CA servers since they won't get practically the exact same connection to CA and US. I'm sure the CA servers will benefit from moving to B.C or Alberta from Quebec!

Moving a server isn't as easy as you think. And actually, Canada has 7 timezones, you guys arent on at the time I might usually play (I'm from Ontario). Coming back to my first point, Moving a server is 100x harder then you think. Its located there because its convenient and its been there for a while. I actually haven't seen any "issues" with the server itself, so its great.

I never said it was easy -_-. Secondly, I never said there were any issues, the only issue is the ping for the West Coast players since we get the same Ping to US.

Then play US? I get much better ping to CA then US.. Well, I live farther. I still dont see why you want to move it, so you can get better ping?

Minecraft's server list ping is hilariously inaccurate sometimes because it measures handshake response, not true response time. Try opening a command prompt and typing "ping us.mcgamer.net" and doing the same for CA - this will get you your actual average response time.

The CA servers are where they are because they also act as a good connection spot for people living in the eastern US, as the US servers are located in Phoenix, Arizona (western US). As an example, I live in northern Illinois (Midwestern US, closer to eastern), and although my average response time (measured with the ping command) is 90ms to the US servers, it is 30ms to the CA servers.

I support this, my US ping is very similar to my CA ping.
