If it's starting to frustrate you, then how would you feel in our position? 9001 people have told you that swords don't need to be more "fun" (the video shows a worse version), due to the fact that there are other weapons that you need to combine with your sword.
I'm not frustrated because no one is liking my suggestion, I'm frustrated because no one is listening. People are going on about flint and steel and bows and everything but that's not what I'm suggesting at all. It has nothing to do with those things.

It's because flint and steel and bows have everything to do with this. The way sword PvP is already made more than point and click is because we have those things that still play a large impact on what happens when you get into CQC. It's rather rare that there is a fight that is a point and click battle rather than having other weapons affect the fight, and even then, if it was a 50% point and click battle, I'd be a lot better at sword fighting. Strafing is a thing too.

-This is not written to be rude.
-This is not made to offend anyone in any way.

When I watched Sethbling's video on the blocking system in PvP I pretty much raged (lol). there is so much complexity that goes into PvP that I don't even know where to start. If you have ever fought anyone who is really good then you will know what I mean. The combos that you can pull off... the accuracy it takes to bow spam... the skill if takes to strafe a pro PvPer... its astonishingly difficult (I know form first hand lol). Just PvP anyone that knows what they are doing and you will see. I think that this has been stated enough in this thread so I will move on.

Sethbling's idea; however, is actually not bad. It may make fights go on for a long time, but it would make some opportunities for new tactics.

On the other hand you would be moving away form completely vanilla PvP, and you would have to go on servers that use said plugin to practice effectively. That said, PvP is already complex enough to where a plugin like this in MCSG would be somewhat unnecessary.

No.. No.. You can make anything seem complex.. PvP is not complex.. The average Joe would believe so, but all in all it's really not.

Stop making it seem like it's complex and hard. It isn't.

Again, I'm going to say this one more time. The plugin I am talking about only affects the sword aspect of PvP, which is severely lacking in any fun. Your going to call moving backwards and forwards and strafing "tactics" now? That's literally just moving around your opponent, there is really nothing you can do about sword PvP except click at your enemy and dodge occasionally.

How are you not getting my point? This is really starting to frustrate me. I already said that this plugin only affects the sword pvp, and I want something similar. please, READ.

*ssssssssiiiiiiigggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Alrighty, as you do not know how PvP works on MCSG, let me break this whole thing down...

You want Sword PvP alone to be nerfed with a quick little SethBling plugin that will alter MCSG PvP severely.

With my MCSG knowledge, I can safely say that 9/10 fights use a secondary PvP weapon (Bow, FnS, Fishing Rod, etc.) This means adding a plugin that changes only Sword PvP does not and will not make sense.

Your argument of saying Sword PvP is boring, but if you were on a rare occasion to have an only Sword PvP battle, I would vouch for MCSG saying those fights are intense, using Strafing/Block Hitting strategies.

Even if this or something similar were to be added, people would leave MCSG, as you can see on April 1st, people weren't too keen on the swordfish update...

To wrap this up, this I can guarantee will not be added to MCSG based on my knowledge of MCSG

I too believe that PvP is very in-depth. PvP in my mind is even more so in depth and detailed on the MCGamer servers than on any other server. Once again, just an opinion. :)

Okay, "MCSG PvP Master. Let me explain what I'm talking about.

I am not, suggesting for the 100th time, saying to add this specific plugin in. I'm saying to have something similar to it that would fit into the role of MCSG nicely.

So what if it only affects Sword PvP? Does it really need to affect anything else?

Congratulations, you are the 100th person to say strafing and blocking are legitimate tactics. Strafing is moving. Moving is not tactical. It's literally one of the things you do most throughout the entire game. Moving around your opponent is not tactical, it's what anyone would do. Blocking is blocking. You are either both clicking left/right mouse button, or occasionally blocking throughout the fight which only does a measly half a heart of damage less. Boring.

9/10 fights aren't sword only battles? Man, please be playing with me. Almost every fight during the beginning and early-med stages of the game contain swords only.

A swordfish has literally nothing to do with this.

I am not saying for this specific plugin to be added, I am saying something similar should be added etc. more complex mechanics.

p.s I've been playing MCSG since the beta.
