Regarding Rank Transfers

Hello everybody,

This thread is here about MCGamer taking away the option of rank transfers.

Now, they claim to do this because of "Name Changes" being implemented in 1.8, so we should just by donor on our main account.

However the thing is that not everyone gets a new Minecraft account because of their "crappy name". Some people buy a new account for a better ratio, and/or a fresh start.

So my question is why should MCGamer take away rank transfers just because of Name Changes in 1.8 are coming. It just doesn't make sense to me as MCGamer makes money out of this service!

For example, having Captain_Sparklez_ (Not the _ at the end) and having diamond donor seems a lot more legitimate than being a regular, green-named player to a new player.

I doubt you can change your name to one that is already taken...

Well, people could change it to similar names. Capta1n_Sparklez, Bajan__Canadian (two _'s), M00clan (Just as an example of a similar username), Revengeful (note the only one L) etc.
They could simply find usernames that aren't taken but are similar enough, and people might mistake them for it. My little sister had a friend over while I was playing MCSG and teaming with someone who's username was like skythebudderkid24 and they screeched, thinking it was "SkyTheKidRS"

Well people can do that now- like Huawhi, so taking away rank transfer wont help imo

People can buy accounts and do that anyway.
