It may work, but I don't think it'll be effective. They could just add minor changes to their posts to bypass the spam. Add an extra character, lowercase a few words, or even some people might change it.

not saying it's a bad idea, but I don't know how easy it is to program this all so it counts as spam.

I don't know if this made sense or not either.

i dont know if its possible, but maybe they can make an anti-spam plugin where they count how many messages you post per second and how similar they are. and kick you if they count it as spam

so you can say: (at any speed you are able to write)
VebbiHD: hi
VebbiHD: wanna
VebbiHD: team

but not:
VebbiHD: Spam
VebbiHD: Spam
VebbiHD: Spam

There are plugins that try to kick spammers, but they are ridiculously buggy. I was playing on a server using spamguard once, and it freaked out and decided that every single message I posted was within one millisecond of each other. I literally could not talk in chat because I would get a warning, then get kicked. The amount of complaining over getting kicked for not actually spamming that would arise does not make it worth using. Simply screencap spammers and post on the forums in Report Abuse, simple as that!

But there are literally 5+ spammers in every game. We can't screenshot every single one, paste it into Paint, upload it, and then keep doing that. Even just make it so we can only post 1 message every 2 seconds.

I'm a genius -

Make it so that when a player is repeating lines, that they are not kicked...

...but instead their messages don't come up for other players.

This way they won't bother with changing it like this:

ttttt
...

Because they think that the message is being broadcasted to everybody still.
