In order to play on any multiplayer server, you need to have purchased a copy of Minecraft from Mojang itself. It is $27, and you can buy it here:

If you have already bought minecraft, log in with your account name and password. Check your email that you registered minecraft with if you don't remember either your account name or password.
Once you buy minecraft, download it. You might already have minecraft downloaded from the premium version.
Open minecraft and go to "Multiplayer".
Then click "Direct Connect" and type in:
us.mcgamer.net - for US
eu.mcgamer.net - for Europe
