Abnormally high ping/latency

Hi there,
I've been experiencing problems with my connection to servers. 3/7 of the servers in my list have an abnormally high ping (normally 70-75ms, now 205-210ms). I don't understand why it only happens on some servers and not others.
I've tried turning my internet off for the night and turn it on again in the morning, I've tried re-installing Minecraft. I just don't understand.

If anyone has any ideas, could you please suggest them below?

Yes, opening chests have a bigger delay, placing fire has a large delay, etc. I get a solid 4-bar but I'd occasionally lag (time would stop), I'd unlag and be dead.
