I want to suggest, that maps can change while playing.
So you will start in a city and it will change to an ghost or lost city.
Or you start in an grassland and it will become a city or ...
So the map makers will give mcg as many "same" maps as they want and a plugin will change the blocks in steps, so that it looks like a development. I don't think that's quiet hard to code and implement, because you just have to compare and replace.
Furthermore there is a limited amount of time between the "map" changes and the server will calculate the optimal block changing speed.
So the map becomes step by step different.

Sounds like it might be really laggy.
I don't think so, it would spread the change about the whole map and just slowly change big areas. In qq are big areas changed and the lag is just medium.

This in a different gamemode might seem cool, but MCSG has already been changed too much.

That's an idea. I just think that some maps with this would be really cool!

Could cause a lot of lag, and may be hard to code. But sounds like a really good idea!

The amount of lag that would be caused through this would even be unbearable to players with good PCs, it seems good in concept but sadly not in reality.

If you look at QuarterQuell, there are many blocks that become changed (fire) and the lag isn't that hard. In my idea you would split the change up, you would change everwhere a bit and not all time, i mean 1 block all ~30sec. would be ok (in 1 chunck).
