Unknown Host

I know this may not be the right place to put this, but on this server I'm trying to connect to. It says "Unknown Host" when I know it is the right IP. The end of the server has "mymc.io" I've tried other servers with that same IP and I can't connect to them. Please help I can't connect to these servers, is there an option so you can?

Remove the space at the end of the IP?

1) Try putting ":25565" at then end of the IP

2) If that doesn't work, refer to this thread : "Can't Resolve Hostname Fix"

3) And if that doesn't work, make sure you spelt the IP correctly.

4) If all else fails, reset your .minecraft folder. There may be a corrupted file in your .minecraft that is causing the issue.

I don't think I want to do step number 2, it looks a little dodgy. I don't know if it's just because it has "mymc.io" but it doesn't work! Can someone else please help.
