I have an error! I can't join any servers!

I get the following error whenever i try to join any server:

I have been getting it for about 6 hours now.
Please can someone help to resolve it...

I have restarted my router, minecraft, my computer, reinstalled java and changed my DNS ip's. So...

If you checked help.mojang.net, did you try your firewall? It has blocked Minecraft and other games before for some people.

how do i allow it on my firewall? do i just allow 'javaw.exe'?

The minecraft login servers were down. This tends to happen when mojang are updating them/they are being DDoSed.
