No, to become a gold donor you actually have to donate.

No, as FuSioNzZ said, to get VIP you need at least 10k subs, in addition I believe you need to have at least 100 MCSG videos.

And we do not give away the other donor classes. So you would need to buy Gold Donor yourself.

He must be lying to you because MCSG doesn't just "hand out" donor. The only way he/she could've received donor for free would've been if they won some some sort of contest.
