You hit the tab key just for a second, and you realize there are no moderators in the chat to deal with them. Instinctively, you try to reason with him yourself.

Exactly. I made this thread because it happened to me just now in the survival server. I already had to file 2 abuse reports.
Also for others, poke a mod through TS if you need help.

This happens a lot, where people feel as if they are invincible due to a lack of a moderator presence. Prove them wrong and report, report, report! The mods love to deal with them (I know from experience )

However, "noob" isn't abusive. It's a "negative" term, however it really isn't abusive, or of any "harassment", unless, repeated.

Abuse is generally derogatory, explicit, or general extreme downing of someone. Harassment is essentially abuse, but continued to a large scale.
