Two very different things: Rock/Metal and J-Pop
Metal: Mainly Three Days Grace, there are some others but I haven't listened to much English Music in a while.
J-Pop: ClariS, Matsushita Yuya, The Idolm@ster, Hanazawa Kana
Here's a list of favorite songs with links I posted in another thread a while back. (Both English and Japanese)
Majority of these I've made into links, so click on them and take a listen.
The Japanese music is the upbeat stuff and the English ones are a more metal.

I love listening to pop and dubstep,
I play piano and saxophone though. I learn both classical and jazz music, it's actually pretty fun (practicing is boring though)

Can't take dubstep, I don't understand how screeching and metal banging can be considered as music, but hey, that's my opinion.

I like rock, but not the screamo death metal punk rock, just the calmer ones, also some jazz, and if it's good, then pop/rnb.

Bands I like are:
Phoenix
Arctic Monkeys
Imagine Dragon (before they got mainstream)
Coldplay
Maroon 5 (the old maroon 5)
The script
Etc

My tastes vary. Anything from Glitch Hop to 80's Rock and Roll to Classical and Turn of the Century music. Pretty much, if it's music, I can enjoy it. (Except Rap)

I actually like Miley Cyrus' wrecking ball song, I kinda listen to any music that's popular.

Anything played by an orchestra, or video game soundtracks. (Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, etc.)
