Windows 7 vs Windows 8

Which is better for minecraft? I'll be making a computer, and I'm debating between them.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter which one you get, it'll both run Minecraft smoothly

It really just depends on which one you're more comfortable with. I've played minecraft on both Windows 7 and Windows 8, and they both run minecraft well. However, Windows 8 can be really confusing when you first start using it, and I know a lot of people despise it. I, on the other hand, am completely in love with it.

There is very little difference between the two OS's in relation to Minecraft game-play.

Which one you choose should come down to personal preference, and thinking about how you intend to use the computer. Good luck with your new PC!

I prefer Windows 8 purely for the fact I am familiar with it.

I have heard most people prefer Windows 7 more though.

I just like W7 because it's more simple and doesn't have a lot of fancy complicated stuff.

I guess so, I'm not just more familiar with W8 because I had a mac before. When I got my gaming computer, it had W8 so I just got used to it.

The operating system of a computer doesn't really have anything to do with how games run.
