Why is this happening?

Alrighty, so I was beginning to create a carrot farm, when all the sudden I hit an aggravating problem. At certain spots, whenever I plan a carrot the carrots around it will pop out. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? Thanks! c:

There's probably not enough light in the area you are planting

Needs more light around it.
If seeds and plants don't get enough light surrounding them when they're inside a house or cave, they just pop out
