Ermm no your argument is invalid if you combined US MCGamer hub and EU MCGamer hub and AU MCGamer hub and all ca MCSG Servers when they have the most players online they own TheHive
Actually, there was a thread a while back that proved that the 3 MCGamer hubs are linked in player count, so the US, EU, and AU hubs combined are what the player count is.

I hate to continue an argument like this, but I can't help myself:

http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/servers/

Look on the right side of the page; it tells you how many players are online on the MCSG servers. Now, I don't believe this counts any side things, like survival, creative or MCTF2, because they are their own things, nor am I sure if it counts the hubs, but even if it did, they still don't add up to the kind of player counts hive gets. I'm not taking any sides here: MCSG, or MCGamer, will always be the place I stick with, but facts are still facts.

I play both, Hunger Games on MCSG, and mini games on the Hive. They're both good, but MCSG has less lag, and better Hunger Games for us Aussies, so MCSG will still be #1 for me.

You're wrong, the MCSG forum community is wonderful, in-game might not be the best, but Hive has it bad both ways.
I was never dissing MCSG's community, I was saying that's why people move to the Hive.

I played Hive Hunger Games for the first time yesterday, and I won, but after spending about 3-4 minutes of deathmatch running from a team that couldn't hit me because of my connection. That was fun, but I don't think I'd stay there.

The hive has popular mini games
We have amazing survival games
MCSG has epic pvp and survival aspect (when v3 come out)
MCSG is more close up with the community

The hives In-Game community is full of 9 year olds swearing there butts of.
Yes MCSG isn't any better but what I have seen on the hive is...

MCSG Is the original Survival games server. And it will always be number one.

You say many players move from MCSG to the Hive, but that's a bit of a stretched statement. Many people leave not just for the Hive, but other communities such as Shotbow, The Fridge, etc. It's just the "leaving for the Hive" threads/statuses are generally made for attention, as it's often seen as our rival community and so people who are not on best terms with MCSG leave for there often out of spite (that being said, the same things happens sometimes the other way round, no one community is to fault). Saying that, there are a lot more people who don't do it for that reason, it's just that those people are the ones who bring the most attention.

Other reasons:
I guess people get bored of our community but not gametype, they don't like us, etc. The Hive's Survival Games is the closest to MCSG without actually being MCSG, so that is why a lot of players who are banned or don't like MCSG specifically go there.

Another main reason is because of friends that play there. Way, way back last year, when TIMV was first created, several of the staff here transferred to TIMV, as well as a lot of our initial community started playing on there. So people have drifted between, until the Hive opened and then the communities started to think it was treachery to play on one or the other, so splitting groups of friends.

My opinions on it.

I don't get the point of this thread. I hate threads like these. Hive vs MCGamer. Who cares? We're both big communities. I think that's good enough

Both communities are fantastic.

I won't repeat any of the points made as to why some players might find one community more appealing than the other. Though, one reason that hasn't been mentioned is that the Hive is a better base for YouTubers, especially those who want to network with other ones. A /nick feature + an easier VIP application process is also quite appealing for up and coming YTers.

I always thought that was an interesting factor about their servers, and a bit of an appealing one at that.
