What texture packs are good in Minecraft?

I play Survival Games I use oCd by Disco__ so it increases my FPS, but when building creatively or whatever I use faithful 32x32

Is oCd 16x16. The simplisity of texturepacks doesn't alter frames per second, but resolution does slightly.

I just have a question about texture packs. My friend said you needed an HD mod or something to get 32x32 or more texture packs. I've seen people with the 32x32 texture packs but I don't know if they had the mod.

Also, if you do need the HG thing then is there a 16x16 Faithful, because that seems like a good texture pack

Ok you do need MC Patcher.
But if you have optifine it will also patch the textures.
Just get optifine the mod it is much better
