Hi there. Today I was hoping to discuss as a community about how do we stop violence in young men and their abusiveness to young women. Now I'm not stereotyping saying all men are pigs and drink too much and assault their female partners. Here are some really brutal facts:

1. 7 out of 10 women killed in Australia were victims of domestic violence
2. 1 woman is killed every week in Australia from domestic violence.
3. Children are present in 1 out of every 3 family violence cases reported to police.
4. Intimate partner violence in Australian women is in the top risk factor and illness disability aged 15-44
5. 64% of women who experienced physical assault and 81.1% of women who experienced sexual assault still did not report it to police.
6. Just under half a million Australian women have admitted to physical assault, sexual assault and sexual violence.

Just let that last fact sink in. There are roughly 11.4 million women in Australia. Roughly 1 in 20 females have been sexually assaulted, abused or physically abused in the last 12 months. If you were to take away the elderly and children under 8 ( not discriminating but its highly unlikely that an elderly woman or a child under 8will be sexually or physically assaulted 1 in 15 women have been sexually or physically assaulted in the last 12 months.

So Australia. What is going on here? How have we allowed such a terrible thing to happen to our women. How do we stop this as a community yes I know there is white ribbon which I am a massive supporter of but we need to stand up as one and stop domestic violence.

If you have any ideas or just an opinion on this please share. This is not an issue to be taken lightly

It's a terrible thing and in no way acceptable, however, what do we plan to do from the chairs in front of our computers? I don't want to see women suffer this way and I think the world would be better without this.

I understand the problem but is their sexual violence in this community and is this topic relevant. In the real world can a game stop sexual violence?
To all the girls in this community, Comment in this thread if you have experienced sexual discrimination, verbally ect in this community? Words like b****h ect count.
Make this thread relevant to the community please ladies.

This is the community corner. It doesn't specifically have to be about the community. As a society we have an issue and as there is such a large community here I decided to ask their opinions on it. Say the rough age of a player on MCSG is 14 or 15 their brain is still like a sponge they soak up information and follow rules and what they do by those older and around them. In the next 4 or 5 years a lot of the people on here will be in relationships and if we can stop them now and teach them that domestic violence is not ok. Even if 1 person realises and remembers this message than this is a success.

Well, actually
Good topics to post threads about:

- Community Events
- Opinions on updates
- Opinions on features
- Introduction threads
- MCSG Stories
- Giveaways/competitions
- Like/message goal threads
- Important/relevant world news
Anything else that has to do with the entirety of the community and is good for discussion. If you are creating a thread, make sure it is engaging, relevant, and on topic (don't make pointless threads, they'll just end up getting locked)
A prime example of relevance was the thread posted by Ceroria on the September 11 Attacks.

You are basically telling people who probably don't have a girlfriend (and most likely don't see the light of day) how to not break the law...
