The one thing that would drastically improve the Teamspeak platform is encouraging moderators to take a more relaxed, yet still mature and strict, approach to dealing with Teamspeak rule breakers. Too often do moderators come in and instead of de-escelating the situation by calmly talking and giving warnings, begin to raise their voices and hand out premature bans.

It's all about our attitudes that will change those around us.
You may say that yes. However having been a Moderator and having spent stretches of time in these channels, I can assure you being able to record would make things a hell of a lot easier.

It's not that Moderators do not "do their jobs" however unless they hear the offender they have to warn them first! I think this would reduce the harassment in these so called "Channels".

Oh it was only at the beginning. I've gone through private chats like Ref Forest and respected chats like the Counter Strike chat. No harassing in those.
It is honestly the most bizarre thing :p

I'm in no way implying we don't do our jobs, I'm simply stating that sometimes people take the wrong approach to Teamspeak situations, and keeping everyone in a positive mindset would help out a lot :p

I understand :D! The Moderators do their jobs very well. I just thought this aspect of things could be improved.

Moderators on teamspeak are a bit slow in my opinion. Whenever I poke them, they would always take a few minutes to respond back saying to poke another moderator or to actually join the channel. Sometimes, they can take quite a while that I have to ask them for a response or the people who were breaking the rules had already disconnected. Teamspeak is very difficult to moderate, and I can understand if they are frustrated or not, but I would like to see more of them responding faster.

  • Bad Example - I poked a moderator today that there were people swearing in my chat, it took him approximately three minutes to respond and all he poked me was to ask another moderator while he had "Poke if Needed" in his name

  • Good Example - I poked Ceroria asking if I could be moved up. He took about 20 seconds to ask the people in his chat if I could be moved up or not and gave me a quick and appropriate response.

I've also seen many moderators giving out premature bans when they haven't warned the user(s) as well. Moderators tend to approach people in a very threatening way at times as Ceroria pointed out and it makes them feel very pressured as well. I would like them to be more calm when dealing with teamspeak issues, no matter how irritating a person can be. Moderators have their hands full at times and I completely understand that, but it does not take a few minutes to respond to a simple poke telling you to poke another moderator as I am busy or to join the channel, give out warnings to the users breaking rules, and then leave.

I wouldn't like to see recording in public channels allowed as I think it's a way to bypass privacy issues since people are easily able to leak it out, but I do believe that moderators on teamspeak need to be more efficient when dealing with issues.

All of those points are valid. However if someone is discussing something "secret" in a public channel, who's fault is that?

Teamspeak moderation will never be as good as in-game or the forums, for very obvious reasons. How easy it is to evade punishments, etc.

Personally, rather than trying new methods of moderation that might only work for a short bit of time, I think we should all accept the fact that it will be a diluted area of moderation. c;

That completely defeats the purpose of the phrase : "Learn from your mistakes". We have an opportunity to change the MCGamer Network Teamspeak experience here, why not grasp it?

Like I said, as easy as modding TS is, someone will find ways around all moderation aspects we bring in.

Yes, you're legally not allowed to record someone without their acknowledgement or consent.
