Not sure if it's well known here, but bed wars would be a possibility.
I know a pretty big server (mainly sg and Bedwars minigames) and Bedwars is kinda well played there.
If you don't know what it is, just Google it.
I think it's a good contrast to Survival Games as it's mainly about strategy and teamwork, not just killing and surviving.
Also it doesn't matter when you die as you will just respawn. So after getting cleaned up in sg you can simply join a Bedwars game, and calm down by playing together with friends.
